MNR College of Pharmacy

MNR College of Pharmacy at MNR Higher Education and Research Academy Campus (MNR-HERA), Sangareddy, Telangana State, was established under the aegis of the MNR Educational Trust in 2004, and since then it has been nurturing the pharmaceutical profession. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) New Delhi, India. The college is affiliated with the Osmania University, Hyderabad, Telangana State.

MNR College of Pharmacy is committed to becoming a ‘Center of Excellence in Pharmaceutical Education and Research’ by delivering quality education and also by pursuing biomedical and pharmaceutical research through its faculty. Students go through intensive training programs to meet the quality standards of the industry.

The growth of this college is propelled by the duo effect i.e. provision of state-of-the-art laboratories with cutting edge technology and dedicated faculty. The college always puts a sustained continuous effort to upgrade the quality of its education and involves in research activities.

Being located close to the pharmaceutical hub of India, the college has forged useful linkages with various renowned pharmaceutical companies and research centers to help the students to gain expertise in Research & Development and emerging technologies, apart from enabling them to stay abreast with emerging trends.

The faculty of Health Sciences conducts lectures by eminent guest speakers to enrich the quality of learning. The students are also provided clinical information of the patients during their visits to the teaching hospital.

Facilities

In addition to the Central library in the MNR-HERA Campus, a separate library is established in the Pharmacy College also with more than 5000 volumes of specialized books and various International and National journals which exclusively update the current developments in pharmaceutical sciences.

Laboratories

The laboratories of the MNR College of pharmacy are designed to conduct experiments on the development of new chemical entities, to formulate ideal dosage forms/drug delivery systems, to evaluate the biological actions, to elucidate the mechanism of actions, and also to control the standards of various pharmaceutical substances.

The Pharmaceutical Chemistry Laboratories are the perfect architectures for the synthesis of newer chemical entities as well as isolation and characterization of phytochemical agents. The Pharmaceutical Laboratories are idealized for teaching the preparation techniques of classical formulations as well as novel drug delivery systems.

The Industrial Pharmacy Laboratory is designed to stimulate the production area of pharmaceutical companies; whereas the clinical pharmacy is customized to provide a better interaction of the patients with the budding pharmacists under the guidance of expert clinical pharmacists.

The testing of synthetic and natural drugs is being carried out in the pharmacology laboratories as per the guidelines of the Committee, for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA). The Pharmacognosy laboratory provides a platform for the study of medicinal plants and quality control of biomedicinals.
